The history of Holland Park School began in the late 1950s with a campaign against the building of the school championed by John Betjeman. Protests notwithstanding it opened in 1958 as one of London’s very first comprehensive schools.
We are a non-selective comprehensive school in inner West London, and we pride ourselves on the diversity of our 1,300 students and our ambition for everyone in our school to achieve their very best. Holland Park was built in 1958 as London's first ever purpose-built comprehensive school. It has a rich and proud history of serving the full range of its community. It is culturally and linguistically diverse with some 1,400 students and a teaching staff of 80+.
