I have received the paperwork to open an ISA with Paragon Bank and was a bit suspicious to read this in the section regarding the bank sort code for transferring funds in - 'this may show up as HSBC, we partner with them to provide access to payment services'.

It is in the format AAA999999AA. I've tried several different variations eg dropping the leading letters, end letters etc but it won't accept any of these.

My only beef about them was when a fixed rate ISA matured they offered me rates that were lower than those offered to new customers.
