    Alongside revealing the voice cast and a new trailer, Netflix has announced that all six episodes of the animated series Dragon Age: Absolution will be released on December 9, 2022.

    Dragon Age: Absolution is a new series from BioWare and Red Dog Culture House that is a spin-off of the video game franchise that began in 2009 with Dragon Age: Origins. The story will follow Kimberly Brooks' Miriam, an eleven mercenary who was once a slave in Tevinter and who must now become the hero she was born to be.

    Dragon Age: Absolution will feature "an ensemble of new characters inspired by Dragon Age lore, including elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons and other special surprises."

    This new Netflix series will hopefully help with the wait for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the next main entry in the video game franchise. In October 2022, BioWare confirmed Dreadwolf had completed its Alpha milestone. This means that, while it still has a lot of work to do, the RPG is now playable from start to finish.
