For us there are a number of factors that make any town a nice place to live, like a low crime rate, low levels of deprivation, the good health of the residents, rent affordability and excellent wages. In this article we will see if Long Eaton meets our criteria.
Long Eaton is a town in the Erewash district of Derbyshire, England, just north of the River Trent, about 6 miles (9.7 km) south-west of Nottingham and 9 miles (14 km) south-east of Derby. The town population was 37,760 at the 2011 census. [1] . It has been part of Erewash borough since 1 April 1974, when Long Eaton Urban District was disbanded.
We have been in Long Eaton for a few years, it's great for us. Quiet, but with a few nice spots for dinner and drinks, and the park is surprisingly nice. You get a lot of property (and a lot of garden space) for your money.
