Charles Maguire, aged 21 years, killed May 28th 1981 – member Provisional IRA. Charles ‘Pop’ Maguire and fellow Provisional IRA volunteer George McBrearty (see above), were both shot and killed at the junction of Southway and Lone Moor Road in the Brandywell area of Derry city by members of the British armyÕs 14th Intelligence Company.
