After being banished to another dimension by Star, Ludo had to learn to survive on his own, and also got two animals as his minions: The Bird and the Arachnid. Later, he becomes less cowardly and succeeds in stealing Star's spell book after making an army once he was banished to the other dimension.

The Magic Instruction Book, also called the Book of Spells, is the book given to Star Butterfly to help her use the Royal Magic Wand. It contains magic Spells that have been mastered and written down by previous owners of the wand.
Glossaryck, or Sir Glossaryck of Terms, is the living embodiment of the Magic Instruction Book for Star Butterfly's magic wand, and Star's guide in magical matters. His first official appearance is in "Mewberty", but he makes cameo appearances beforehand in "Star Comes to Earth" and "Monster Arm".
