  2. The Board of Trustees. Our Trustees are ultimately responsible for all aspects of the charity’s business, including its strategic leadership, policies, activities and assets. They serve on the Board in a voluntary capacity, and delegate specific matters to sub-committees and the executive staff.

    We have two group boards that are responsible for the management of all aspects of Our Future Health. These are:

    Audit & Risk Committee

    Provides oversight of all aspects of financial and risk management and ensures an appropriate relationship with the charity’s auditors. 1. Chair: Richard Sexton 2. Mary Calam 3. Kemal Malik 4. Tim Peakman

    Nomination & Remuneration Committee

    Oversees the appointment of new Trustees to the Board and ensures a formal and transparent procedure for developing policy on senior management remuneration. 1. Chair: John Bell 2. Sally Osman 3. Richard Sexton 4. Fiona Watt

    Data Protection and Information Security Committee

    Ensures compliance with all matters related to the protection and privacy of data, including protecting a participant’s privacy and rights. 1. Chair: Ciaran Martin 2. Mary Calam 3.     These boards have a dual role of providing invaluable advice to the Board of Trustees and Executive, while also being authorised to make important decisions in specific defined areas.

  3. Dr Fiona Reddington. Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships. Fiona helped to establish Our Future Health in 2019 as our Interim Chief Operating Officer before taking responsibility for building our partnerships across the NHS, charities, and industry.

The health research programme was set up with funding from UK Research and Innovation’s Accelerating Detection of Disease Challenge, delivered by Innovate UK.
