   • Total energy consumption in the UK decreased by 17.9 million tonnes of oil equivalent (mtoe) (or 12.9 per cent) between 2019 and 2020 to 121.0 mtoe. Consumption fell in industry, services and transport but increased in the domestic sector. Transport contributed 16.2 mtoe to the overall decrease slightly offset by a 0.9 mtoe increase in domestic.
