Australia, Enid and the Movies. In 1916, after 15 years of marriage, Josephine Cohan Niblo died. The following year, Dad went to Australia where he met my mother, Enid Bennett, who was born in Australia in 1893. They were married in 1918 and returned to America to become leading players in the new Hollywood.
