   Where is the windmill located in Olivedale?

   • The windmill in Olivedale, Randburg, was previously located here. It was used to pump water for the Amsterdam Estate. Amsterdam Estate was established in 1943 by Mr H. Messias, a diamond dealer who emigrated from Holland before the Second World War. The estate was then sub-divided to allow for the residences you see today. The windmill is still there.

   Aug 1, 2017 · Wheatley Windmill is open around 6 times a year and is well worth a visit and what is more it is FREE entry. They have their own website which gives the times when it is open. What it does not say though is how friendly and informative the people at the Mill are.
