Oct 4, 2023 · Malahide Castle was occupied for almost 11 years (1549-1660) by the English politician Myles Corbett, Lord Chief Baron of Ireland when Cromwell confiscated ‘Malahide’s land. Following Cromwell’s death, Corbett was hanged and the castle was returned to the Talbots.
