Lincs FM commenced broadcasting from studios at Witham Park in Lincoln on 1 March 1992. It was part of the wider Lincs FM Group of eight radio stations. In March 2019, it was announced that the radio station and its sister stations had been bought by Bauer Media for an undisclosed sum.

It was on 1st March 1992 that Lincs FM first started broadcasting to Lincolnshire and Newark – as the jingles sang at the time ‘from the Humber to the Wash’ – and twenty-five years on it is still as popular as ever.
Lincs FM was expanding rapidly with new licences and I then went to Doncaster for a while to present a breakfast show there. In 1998, I took over the Breakfast Show 5-9am from Paul Chivers, which meant a 3.30am start each day. I did that for 13 years.
