"Move Ya Hips" is song by American rapper A$AP Ferg featuring Nicki Minaj and first-time collaborator, MadeinTYO, released on July 30, 2020 as the lead single from Ferg's third mixtape Floor Seats II. This marks Ferg and Minaj's third collaboration, following "Plain Jane (Remix)" and "Runnin".

Due to Minaj's particular vocal inflections in the clips, fans have speculated this track marks the return of Harajuku Barbie.

The song was previewed by Nicki's longtime collaborator DJ Clue on Instagram live in May 2020, soon thereafter going viral on Twitter. Initially presumed to be a scrapped track, both ASAP Ferg and MadeinTYO confirmed they intend to release the track, the former stating "sooner than soon," and the latter sharing an extended clip, including his contribution to the song, on his Twitter.

Minaj instructed fans to demand the song from A$AP Ferg if they wanted it to release.

    On July 27, 2020 A$AP Rocky tweeted:

After which Minaj confirmed the songs release on July 30, 2020.

The song released at 8 AM Pacific Standard Time and was quickly added to significant streaming playlists, a feat rare for Nicki Minaj songs.

Despite earning an alleged 110k+ debut sales week, A$AP Ferg and his team did not report digital sales to Billboard, thus the song debuted at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.

    [Nicki Minaj:]

    It's that time again

    Fergie, come out and play

    [MadeinTYO:]

    Move your hips, okay

When I be leaving, she tell me to stay (Ooh)

A music video was released nearly 2 weeks after the song's release. None of the recording artists appear in the video.
