Sep 20, 2003 · Netscape 6 was the first commerical release of that rewritten source code (based on Mozilla 0.6) and was very horrible because it was based on such an early version of Mozilla. Later versions of Netscape 6 (6.1 and 6.2) were much better and Netscape 7 is pretty well regarded since it is based on the first real stable Mozilla version (1.0).
