Choose your fighter and dominate the stars.
Star Wars: Squadrons is an upcoming dogfighting game set shortly after the events of Return of the Jedi. In it, players get to take part in the fleet battles between the New Republic and the remnants of Imperial forces. In both the campaign and 5v5 multiplayer, you'll join the New Republic's Vanguard Squadron or the Empire's Titan Squadron.
There's four classes of starships: Fighter, Support, Bomber and Interceptor. Every playable starship falls into one of these classes. Each ship also has different advantages and disadvantages. Here's the full list of ships we know about so far, as well as everything we know about them. The game is expected to be released on October 2, 2020.

Star Wars: Squadrons
The newest version of the iconic X-Wing, the T-65 is the jack-of-all-trades workhorse for the New Republic. It's built by Incom Corporation. Pilots have visibility forward, above and to the sides, but there's not much viewing space below or directly behind them.

Also built by Incom Corporation, the U-Wing is tough to bring down. It scrambles enemy systems and provides repair support to allied ships. Visibility is restricted to the rear but is clear forward, above and to the sides, as well as around the pilot's feet.

The iconic Y-Wing provides heavy firepower with matching strong armor and bombing capabilities, though its slow speed means pilots have to account for limited movement. It's built by Koensayr Manufacturing, with clear views forward and to the sides but very little above, below or to the rear.

The A-Wing is constructed by Kuat Systems Engineering. This agile fighter can't take much in a firefight but is capable of easily dancing around other starships and shredding them. Pilots can see forward, above and to the sides but visibility is restricted below and to the rear.

Manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems, the TIE Fighter is the iconic backbone of the Imperial Navy. Twin engines make it faster than New Republic X-Wings, but it lacks deflector shields. Excellent sightlines forward, with small viewpoints in the access hatch and the aft bulkhead but sight is otherwise obstructed.

The TIE Reaper is built by Sienar Fleet Systems to ensure a squadron's survival. It can deploy repair droids and is one of the few Imperial craft equipped with deflector shields. Visibility is clear forward, above and to the sides, with some sightline available near the pilot's feet.

Sienar Fleet Systems designed the TIE Bomber to be nearly unstoppable. While difficult to turn and lacking shields, its thick armor shrugs off firepower that'll bring other ships down, allowing it to get in close and release payloads of firepower. It has clear visibility forward, with small viewpoints in the access hatch and the aft bulkhead but sight is otherwise obstructed.

The TIE Interceptor has been built by Sienar Fleet Systems to be the fastest, most maneuverable starship in space. Lacking much armor or any shields, it uses this speed to dodge around enemy fire and missiles before locking in and destroying its foes. Like most other Imperial craft, it has clear visibility forward, with small viewpoints in the access hatch and the aft bulkhead but sight is otherwise limited.

These are all the starships that have been revealed so far but EA Motive could add more post-launch. We'll continue to keep you updated. Star Wars: Squadrons is aiming to release on October 2, 2020 for Xbox One, PC and PS4. It supports full cross-play across all platforms.

All you have to do is watch a few Fencar videos, turn your brain off, ignore every other player around you, and just Death Star orbit around cap ships (with a bit of farming on defense). Both x wing and T d are much harder to master.
