Jun 30, 2020 · The two photos below show the state of work on the overhaul of Pullman Car 54 at Horsted Keynes just days before work stopped with the lock-down in mid-March.
Photos: at Sheffield Park, Dec 1991 and approaching Horsted Keynes, Sept 1993. Ex-Travelling College train – 12 Mk.I carriages were purchased in late 1993. Five remain on the Bluebell. The following, which had been converted to dormitories were immediately sold-on: SK 25795, SK 25856 and SK 25994.

Aug 11, 2020 · From October 29 th, the Bluebell was finally given access to Horsted Keynes station by BR, sharing the station with the electric service from Haywards Heath. Many early visitors to the railway recall arriving by train from Haywards Heath in this way, prior to mass car ownership.
