If you want to be strong in Oblivion, then you'd have to resort to cheesing the game and sometimes even to exploit it. There's always talk about how Oblivion has the best sidequests, but I don't see how.

I like what you can do with the spellcrafting system and how horses have different prices because some are actually much faster than others. I like making horses run on water via magic. I dislike how the voicing is hit or miss, and I've never been fond of the faces.

I find the story-telling to be much better. For example when you become a vampire in Oblivion, you get these creepy dreams described in detail while in Skyrim all you get is « you have contracted sanguinaires vampiris » and usually forget to cure it.
