Data was presumably deleted sometime after February 29, 2020. Please note that as the deadline has passed, active data collection for the Yahoo Groups archiving project is over. Groups has been shut down and is now inaccessible; no new archives can be made, and data which was not already saved is now gone forever.
Groups was Yahoo! 's combination mailing list service/web forum, the result of the acquisition of eGroups and some other Yahoo! stuff. In addition to archives of and a web interface for mailing lists, it offered file uploads, photo uploads, links, polls, and an events calendar.
I found yahoo-group-archiver easy to set up and use, and have downloaded a few groups that I care about. The tool creates a file hierarchy with subdirectories for files, members, photos, etc, each with a bunch of content files and json files. I would now like to make this available on a read-only web site to the group members.

The Groups were deliberately killed by Yahoo about a decade ago. All sorts of functions failed, and yahoo couldn't seem to make them work. Oddly enough, when Verizon made the announcement of the data purge - everything suddenly started working perfectly again so listowners could get their data archived. Still angry over this one.
