- Discover the area’s eclectic street art. Anyone going for even the briefest of wanders around Hackney Wick will be very aware of the area’s eclectic art scene – and no wonder.
- Grab a pint in the historic Lord Napier Star. Speaking of graffiti, you really can’t miss popping in to the historic Lord Napier Star, which opened once again back in 2021 after a 26-year hiatus.
- While away the hours at Barge East. Barge East is the epitome of romantic waterside dining, with dreamy fairy lights, delicious food, and a scenic, maritime atmosphere right by the River Lee.
- Party the night away at the Colour Factory. Set within a space formerly known as Mick’s Garage, the Colour Factory is a nightclub, live music venue, street food court and multi-functional events space right by that aforementioned canal.
- Howling Hops. Our very first foray into the Hackney Wick brewery scene and part of the reason we go back so often, Howling Hops has to be one of our favourite London taprooms.
- Crate Brewery and Pizzeria. With a riverside beer garden and great views of the ever changing street art on the Hackney Wick canal, Crate Brewery has real character.
- Barge East. Credit where credit is due – Barge East is a bastion of the Hackney Wick drinking and pub scene, continually investing in and evolving their set-up, with new additions and beer gardens constantly popping up around their near 100 year old vessel.
- Number 90 Bar. The burgers at Number 90 Bar are probably the best burgers and pub grub we’ve had in Hackney Wick. Combine this with the Number 90 Bar canalside terrace and oodles of offers like 2 for 1 cocktails on a Wednesday or 2 for 1 burgers on Thursday nights and you can see why this is one of the areas most popular bars and pubs in Hackney Wick.
