Highlights: the Hypogeum, ancient burial site; the church in Mosta where the unexploded WW2 bomb fell; Melliha and the underground caves where folks sheltered in WW2; the cathedral in Valletta; and finally the most beautiful place—Mdina. The Blue Lagoon is gorgeous but so crowded.

Jun 13, 2021 · Valletta is beautiful, Sliema and st julians are more commercial. If you want the best of both worlds stay in Valletta near the Sliema ferry and then it only takes 5 mins to get the boat across. Antik area in Sliema.

They do fireworks in summer, even during the day and very bare minimum during NYE.. doesn't make sense to me whatsoever.. streets are pretty much dead, no action or party mood and yeah I was deeply disappointed myself when I first experienced NYE here ...
Nov 7, 2021 · Smells, crowded, low quality tourists, too many kids, shady, bad drinks (unless you like the taste of washing up liquid), clubs are ok but nothing great. Same music every week. Passable if you're under the age of 21. Valletta is a much nicer breath of fresh air for nightlife. 1.
Overall, I'd say life in Malta is pretty good, especially for a young person. It's safe, fun and laid back, with an interesting culture and very sociable people. Your visit should have. a visit to Gozo, the island above Malta-mainland. You can visit the island with a ferry and I always consider it how Malta could've/ should've been.
Jun 6, 2021 · The Maltese obsession with peace destroying and competitive fireworks displays has been severely disabled over the last couple of years, but are a long-time, regular feature of the summer season. Probably the daily battery demonstration at the upper barrakka gardens, they shoot a cannon daily at 2 different times.
