Jul 8, 2024 · Whitman is a nice suburb to live in, I'm currently nestled between the big town park and the town square with a handful of restaurants, cafes, and breweries. The diversity seems to be lacking, and being a 15-20 minute drive from any major highway is a small bummer.

Aug 2018 • Family. Whitman Town Park is a historic park near the center of the town. The park was established in 1880 by a gift of land from Augustus Whitman, whose family gave the town its name. The park has a playground, basket balls courts, baseball field, a bandstand, picnic tables, benches, a pond, and a seasonal community pool.
