Final Recipe is a 2013 South Korean-Thai drama film directed by Gina Kim and written by George Huang, who adapted a story by Kim. It stars Michelle Yeoh, Henry Lau, and Chin Han.
I found this looking for food movies, and this is a great movie about food, but it is so much more. This movie is about the complexities of family, how one generation always wants the next to have it better, and how that can lead to problems, and mistakes made on both sides.
Final Recipe: Directed by Gina Kim. With Michelle Yeoh, Henry Lau, Chin Han, Tseng Chang. Hao's only hope is that his grandson Mark enters a prestigious university, but Mark's dream is to follow his grandfather's footsteps and become a chef and take over the family restaurant.
