Rush had an uncanny way of putting a track in every album that was amazingly well crafted but not one of the most popular.. But should have been really listened to as an incredible piece of writing and backing music that drives the lyric perfectly. Losing it, is an emotional song for me.

Been listening to a lot of synth-era Rush, and I gotta say that “Losing It” is probably my favourite song from that period at the moment. There’s nothing else really like it in the Rush catalogue imo. Geddy sings pretty much down in his speaking voice range the whole time.

I'll tell you why! In an album that signals a tectonic shift in their songwriting style, they come out swinging! "Losing It" is their most vulnerable and (arguably) most beautiful piece of music. In a catalog of masterpieces, this song stands out. It's one of a kind.
