  1. Jun 19, 2024 · Almost serving as a throwback to mumblecore in more ways than one, “Am I OK?” is a mostly conversational movie about the friendship between two women. Lucy (Dakota Johnson) is a 32-year-old woman living in Los Angeles with her best friend Jane (Sonoya Mizuno).

  2. Jun 7, 2024 · And for Lucy, the shame is much more apparent and debilitating–coming from being in her 30s and still not knowing who she is. But it’s never too late for discovery. 4. Am I OK? 2022. ★★★. Watched Sep 23, 2023. Jeff’s review published on Letterboxd: Cute! Keep an eye on Pomerantz. She's a talent to watch.

  6. A really sweet mid life coming out movie. Dakota Johnson really truly shines here, so effortlessly funny and had me on the verge of tears a few times. Reminded me of all those mumblecore indie rom coms that refused to stop coming out in the early 2010s, and I’m okay with that.

  8. Jun 6, 2024 · The Pitch: Lucy (Dakota Johnson) and Jane (Sinoya Mizuno) aren’t just best friends — they’re Best Friends, capital letters. They speak their own language. The staff at their local diner knows them as a duo, and they know each other’s orders. It’s the kind of friendship where, when one wants to have a sleepover, the boyfriend knows to ...
