Oct 6, 2023 · Former Isle of Wight MP and well-known GP, Peter Brand, has died at the age of 76. The former Liberal Democrat politician died at his home in East Cowes, surrounded by his family, on September 22. Mr Brand came second in the 1992 general election, but was eventually elected the Island's MP five years later in 1997, taking over from Barry Field.
