Activating your Vodafone SIM is easy; you can do it either through Vodafone's website online, over the phone, or in person at a Vodafone store. If you purchased or received your SIM card directly from Vodafone, it may already be activated, so it's recommended that you first try inserting the SIM in your phone to see if your phone connects to the Vodafone network and you are able to place calls. For Vodafone service in India, SIM cards cannot be activated on the Vodafone website and can only be activated by phone or in store.
Go to Vodafone's activation website for your region and select your plan.
Provide your SIM number or Activation Key when prompted.
Provide any further information that is requested, such as identification details.
Go to the Vodafone activation website.
In a web browser, go to the Vodafone activation website for your area:
Choose the option that fits your plan or phone.
If you have a pay-as-you-go phone, or a monthly plan, make sure you choose the activation option that fits the service plan for your account.
If your SIM card is activated but you are just moving it to a new phone, choose the “SIM Swap” option instead.
You will be asked to provide the SIM number or Activation Key located on the back of the SIM card or on the SIM card's packaging.
Prepare the following information first.
These details are necessary when you want to activate your SIM:
SIM card number (printed on the back of the SIM card)
Call Vodafone's SIM activation number.
On your phone, dial the SIM activation number for your area:
Using your phone’s keypad, enter any account information of any identification information when the voice recording prompts you to. The system will begin processing your request once you’ve entered all the needed information.
Prepare the following information first.
In addition to your phone and SIM card, you'll need at least one form of the following types of identification:
Student ID (University or TAFE)
