Plano East Senior High School (commonly known as East, Plano East, or PESH) is a public secondary school in Plano, Texas, serving grades nine through 12. It is part of the Plano Independent School District. Students at Plano East attended one of two feeder high schools: McMillen or Williams.
They were all renamed in the 1940s when the then mayor tasked his son to reorganize the street names, who decided to follow a pragmatic alphanumeric naming system where all north/south streets would be given an alpha designation, and all east/west streets would be given a numeric designation.
Central Plano is bordered to the east by U.S. Highway 75, the west by Dallas North Tollway, the south by President George Bush Turnpike (Texas State Highway 190 (east of Coit Road)), and the north by Sam Rayburn Tollway (Texas State Highway 121).
Dec 17, 2018 · The east-west thoroughfare was originally named Carpenter Road in honor of one of Plano’s earliest families. In 1852 Robert Washington Carpenter came to Texas with $900 he inherited from his father.
