With an official seating capacity of 22,859 the GCP Stadium is the largest football venue in Cyprus. It is located at the entrance to Nicosia (as approached from the A1 highway) and was inaugurated in 1999 by the then-President Glafcos Clerides and Archbishop Chrysostomos I.
GSP Stadium is one of the few stadiums on Cyprus that fully complies with UEFA requirements, and is therefore also used by most other Cypriot teams for European matches. It is furthermore the home of the Cypriot national team.

The historic GSP stadium is taking new shape and renovation works are progressing rapidly, as evidenced by new photos published on Friday, January 19, on the Nicosia First page. The radical reconstruction and redevelopment were undertaken by Cyfield Construction - Cyfield Development JV.
