I have received the paperwork to open an ISA with Paragon Bank and was a bit suspicious to read this in the section regarding the bank sort code for transferring funds in - 'this may show up as HSBC, we partner with them to provide access to payment services'.

The problem stems from them using HSBC as the intermediary clearing bank and you having to put Paragon Bank plc down as the payee rather than yourself (your account gets recognised by Paragon by the reference you put ...usually the application number when you've just ...
