    He appeared in the first two seasons solving Ghostwriter's unfinished business. After that, he moved out of the bookstore apartment with his grandpa and progressed to high school. He is a starring character portrayed by Isaac Arellanes.

    Early Life (before the show)

    Ruben Reyna and his mother were residing somewhere probably in a suburb. His grandmother passed away prior the show started. They had to come to the city and live in his grandfather's bookstore to help him cope with the death. He enrolled in the local middle school.

    Season One

    We are introduced to Ruben being reprimanded by the principal for his skateboard and eating in the hallway. He befriends a boy named Curtis after accidentally tripping him with a skateboard. Later, Ruben helps his grandpa in the bookstore where he encounters a girl named Chevon. Chevon invites Ruben to join her friend group, but he declines. Strange occurrences happen involving a rabbit and mysterious messages. This is all part of the first mission the ghost has given him, Chevon, Donna, and Curtis. ("Ghost in Wonderland, Part 1") After solving the mission, all four kids decide to be friends and solve more mysteries the ghost gives them. As the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland all return to the book, Ruben and Chevon speculate that his grandmother may be Ghostwriter when they piece the puzzle together. A mysterious gush of wind brings everyone to a room in which Ghostwriter urgently types "HELP ME" on a typewriter, leaving them puzzled. They all leave this for the time being. ("Ghost in Wonderland, Part 2") The next day, Ruben argues with Amy about changes in the bookstore, mentioning a cat named Spinoza. Ruben leaves for school, taking his grandpa's bagel. After school, the crew follows Ghostwriter's instructions to a peculiar building with an unexpected jungle inside, where they meet a boy who resembles Mowgli from "The Jungle Book" and possesses the ability to communicate with animals. Intrigued and amazed, they offer their assistance to Mowgli in helping him adjust to the city and escape from the threat of Shere Khan. Meanwhile as they ask around the animals of the city about Spinoza's disappearance, at the apartment, Ruben sees his mother putting his on a purple coat and Ruben immediately suspects it's her and she chalantly agrees. ("The Jungle Ghost, Part 1") Amidst "The Jungle Book" mystery, they solve it. However, before the characters return in the book, Ruben asks Spinoza about a big secret. She reveals an agenda about a secret old letter, and before she states what was read, Spinoza meows which proves that the book characters have returned fully. Now their clear objective is to find the letter. ("The Jungle Ghost, Part 2")
