To be fair, I don't think Clint would care if you're married or not. You can date while you're married, so nobody else does
Sep 25, 2018 · I have read in the wiki (mild spoilers) that Clint actually tries to get her into a date at his 6 heart event, but you can only trigger it if you are NOT married to emily, or you haven't been in her 8/10 heart event yet (which I did).

May 13, 2020 · It's no doubt Clint is absolutely in love with Emily, I really think there should be a path that leads to them getting married. In the game, Clint has 2 personal cutscene involving Emily and one at Emily's 8-heart cutscene where she does the fashion show at Lewis' house.

Clint won't ask out Emily if you are married to Emily, or have seen Emily's 8 or 10 hearts events. What can happen is that Clint can ask her out if you are dating her but haven't seen her 8 hearts event. Clint's crush on Emily was written before she was made available for marriage.
The only reason Clint pursues Emily after you're married is that Emily wasn't originally a marriage candidate. She was like the rest of the NPCs. CA made her a marriage candidate because of popular demand, but didn't change Clint's scenes to reflect it.
