The British Rail Class 730 Aventra is a type of electric multiple unit passenger train built by Alstom for West Midlands Trains. Two separate batches of the fleet were built; 48 three-car units and 36 five-car units.
The Class 730 fleet will make a real difference for passengers travelling on both the West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway networks. The first service to use the new trains was the 6.04 am departure from Bletchley to London Euston with 730007 and 730010, which returned on the 7.24 am return from Euston to Tring.
