The Almeida Theatre, opened in 1980, is a 325-seat producing house with an international reputation, which takes its name from the street on which it is located, off Upper Street, in the London Borough of Islington. The theatre produces a diverse range of drama.

Feb 13, 2024 · The Almeida Theatre in London has revealed its new season of plays for 2024. Highlights include the UK premiere of The Comeuppance (Saturday 6 April – Saturday 18 May) by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, directed by Eric Ting and starring Yolanda Kettle, Ferdinand Kingsley, Tamara Lawrance, Katie Leung and Anthony Welsh.

Lovely theatre off Upper Street, Islington. Easy to get to, good transport links. Watched 'The Secret Life of Bees' which was truly amazing. Outstanding music and performances. Intimate theatre with a great cafe with reasonably priced food and drinks.
