Oct 18, 2017 · It seems that in my Device Manager there's not even a SC card reader device available. PS: Solved the problem. I went into the system Services and manually started the Smart Card and Smart Card Device Enumeration services.

I tried automatically searching for a driver update on the HP site and could not find any updates for it. I also tried searching the Windows update site, but can't identify a new driver for Windows 8.1.
