Oct 17, 2019 · Yahoo Groups users will still be able to communicate within groups via email and use search functionality on the Yahoo Groups website to find groups. Administrators will retain some administrative tools but these will be limited in comparison to the existing capabilities.
I used them for support groups. In December 2019, they eliminated everything but sending emails to other group members and if you are the owner, you retained a few of your admin options. As of December 15, 2020, yahoo groups will be entirely eliminated. It is the end of an era.

On the group page, click the “Join Group” link.If the group is restricted, the group owner or administrator will need to approve your request before you can join the group.If the group is open, you will be automatically added to the group.Once you’re in the group you can access the messages, photos, files, and everything else posted on the group.
- Subscribing to a Group's Mailing List: Receive emails from a group. You can receive emails from a group without joining. To subscribe, send a blank email to groupname-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.Replace “groupname” with the actual name of the group.
