Baltika Stadium (Russian: Балтика стадион, Baltika Stadion) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kaliningrad, Russia, that was home to FC Baltika Kaliningrad. The capacity of the stadium used to be 14,660 before the 2018 renovation, but is now reduced to 4,500.
This compromise concept for new Kaliningrad stadium was created in 2014. Its aim was to maximally facilitate construction (vast use of prefabs) in order to meet the 2017 FIFA deadline. Additionally, the stadium is expected to be one of the cheapest Russia will build for the tournament.
