The AT&T Huron Road Building (formally known as the Ohio Bell Building) is an art deco skyscraper located at 750 Huron Road in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It serves as the corporate headquarters for Ohio Bell, a regional telephone company owned by AT&T.
In December 1979, the Ohio Bell Telephone Building was having a new $40 million switching system installed. The “Super Switcher” occupied two floors of the building and was designed to route up to 550,000 calls an hour. This was far larger than the previous 60-minute record of 160,000 calls.

Dominick Benes designed some of Cleveland’s more iconic and beloved buildings in the early 1900s—including the West Side Market, Wade Memorial Chapel in Lake View Cemetery, the Masonic Auditorium, and the original 1916 structure for the Cleveland Museum of Art.
It is a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T. Its headquarters is the Ohio Bell Building at 750 Huron Road, Cleveland, Ohio, and formerly had a secondary headquarters at 150 East Gay Street, Columbus, Ohio, now the Continental Center.
In 1876 Alexander Graham Bell shouted to his colleague through a revolutionary communications device; one year later, Cleveland, Ohio, installed its first telephone.
Designed by Brubaker/Brandt [ 2] for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company, the building was constructed from 1970 to 1973, with an approximate cost of $20 million. [ 3] The building was sold in 2021 for $12 million. In 2022, the new owners began making plans to convert its office spaces into 330 apartment units. [ 4] See also.
In 1964, Ohio Bell moved into the new Erieview Tower. The Huron Road building was retained as a telephone switching center for Downtown Cleveland. It was one of the biggest switching stations in the country for years. In 1983, Ohio Bell moved into its current location at 45 Erieview.
