Jul 12, 2023 · Now, Chess.com is excited to announce that the Champions Chess Tour Finals, with its $500,000 prize pool, will be held live on-site in Toronto, Canada from December 9 to December 16, 2023. This same city hosted the finals of the wildly successful 2022 Global Chess Championship.
In 2019, it was held in Regina, Saskatchewan, the first time ever in that province. For both 2020 and 2021, the championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
