Jul 17, 2023 · Splash Mountain opened in Disneyland on July 17th, 1989, the day of Disneyland’s 34th anniversary of opening. Almost 34 years later, on May 31st, 2023, Splash Mountain closed. Disney has shared that the new attractions should open in Magic Kingdom and Disneyland in late 2024.
