    If you've forgotten the password you use to log in to your Mac user account, or your password isn't being accepted, choose a reset option from the login window.

    These steps are for devices running macOS Catalina or later. The steps for devices running macOS Mojave or earlier If you're not sure which macOS you're using, complete these steps first.
