During production of Toy Story in 1994, Pixar began referring to itself as Pixar Animation Studios, and dropped the square logo in favor of a wordmark set in the Charlemagne Bold typeface. This logo was created by current Pixar CCO Pete Docter.

On September 09, 2022, The Walt Disney Company debuted a new on-screen logo for the namesake studio and company's 100th anniversary at the Disney Studios & Animation and Pixar panel at the 2022 D23 Expo, featuring the castle's new enhanced look combined with various elements from films made by the studio.
It was also used in Pixar films from WALL-E in 2008 to Lightyear in 2022, and Walt Disney Animation Studios films from Meet the Robinsons in 2007 to Encanto in 2021. This logo begins with a glowing star shining in the night sky, while the shiniest star in the right of the sky represents The Second Star to the Right from Peter Pan.
