You can take all the best courses available and be Sol in a survival situation if you don't keep your skills sharp. If money is tight, and for most folks it is the information you get from a school is also readily available online.

- Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS) BOSS has been running survival programs near Boulder, Utah, for over 60 years. Its philosophy to “know more, carry less” provides confidence to survive in the beautiful, remote areas of southern Utah with minimal gear.
- Cody Lundin’s Aboriginal Living Skills School (ALSS) Since 1991, Cody Lundin has been at the helm of the ALSS in Prescott, Arizona, and continues to actively teach.
