In today’s blog former Creative Access intern, Ayodele Ogunshakin fills us in on her time working as a storyliner on one of the UK’s longest-running soaps, Coronation Street.
- Screenwriter. If you have a knack for creating engaging and thought-provoking stories, a career as a screenwriter might be the perfect fit for you. Screenwriters are responsible for developing the scripts for movies, television shows, and web series.
- Film Director. As a film director, you have the opportunity to shape the visual storytelling of a movie. You work closely with the screenwriter to interpret the script and bring it to life through your creative vision.
- Creative Writer. Creative writers are masters of storytelling in various forms, including novels, short stories, poetry, and plays. They have a deep understanding of narrative structure, character development, and the art of crafting engaging prose.
- Content Strategist. In the digital era, storytelling extends beyond traditional mediums. Content strategists are professionals who create compelling narratives for brands and organizations.

- Actor. Drama kid, this is your gig. From compelling dramas to light-hearted comedies, actors have been captivating audiences since time immemorial. You’ll be attending auditions on-site, vying for roles, and delving into a character to bring their story to life.
- Camera operator. There is no action without lights and a camera. As a camera operator, you’ll work in partnership with directors and cinematographers to frame shots and compose evocative visuals.
- Film producer. Producers are involved in the initial stages of a film project, including identifying potential scripts, securing rights, and assembling a team of creative professionals (like directors, writers, and actors).
