Apr 7, 2023 · Ron Musarra was the original drummer for Nine Inch Nails. He only played during the band's stint in supporting Skinny Puppy. Musarra was replaced by Chris Vrenna, who had originally played keyboards. He had previously been a member of Slam Bamboo with Trent Reznor.
Nine Inch Nails was founded by multi-instrumentalist Trent Reznor in 1988. The band's first tour was in support of Skinny Puppy that same year. The band's initial lineup included Reznor on vocals and guitar, Chris Vrenna on keyboards, programming, and percussion, and Ron Musarra on drums. [1]
