Jan 11, 2020 · There was a slight problem, in that four out of the original seven (James Coburn, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn and Brad Dexter) were lying dead in graves in a Mexican village, and neither Steve McQueen nor Horst Buchholz, who had survived, could be persuaded to return.
Mexican bandit leader Lorca (Emilio Fernandez) rounds up all the men from three south-of-the-border villages and marches them into the mountains to serve as slave labor at a fourth village he’s building as a tribute to the two sons who died there.
