Wine Dark Sea is the seventh episode of the fifth season of Prison Break, and the eighty-eighth episode overall. It was broadcast in the United States on May 16, 2017 on FOX.

Michael Scofield, Lincoln Burrows, and Whip leave Phaecia and head to Crete; Ja decides to stay behind.

Sara Scofield meets the crew there, and donates her O- blood to Michael to save his life. While flipping through photos on her phone, Michael spots Jacob Anton Ness, and identifies him as Poseidon. She quickly heads back to Ithaca to find Michael Scofield Jr.

Sucre brings a ship to Crete to pick up the remaining trio. Michael uses an expensive ring given to him by Sara to pay their way on the ship. The captain is alerted to Michael being Kaniel Outis by A&W and Van Gogh sending his photo out to all air and maritime channels and reports it to the Navy. As the SEALs take over the ship, Sucre fakes being held captive in order to buy Michael, Lincoln and Whip time to get to the cargo area by leading the SEALs to different areas around the ship. The SEALs are forced away to avoid a diplomatic situation when the ship heads for Algerian waters. They fire a missile at the ship as Sucre, Michael, Lincoln and Whip jump overboard.

Sara contacts her friend Heather in secret to pick up Mike from his friend's house. She gets a gun out of a secret stash and aims at Jacob, demanding answers on who he really is. Jacob informs her that Michael is dead and that he is aware that she contacted Heather to pick up Mike as Van Gogh waits inside her house. Jacob tells her that he doesn't want to hurt Mike since he has loved and raised him but it all depends on what Sara's next move is as she reluctantly lowers her gun.
