The Otkritie Arena is located in the north-west of Moscow, just within the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD), at about 14 kilometres from Moscow’s city centre. The stadium can be easily reached by metro. Newly constructed station Spartak is on the purple Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line (line 7), which runs through Moscow’s centre.
Sep 4, 2021 · Otkrytie Arena first opened on the 27th August 2014 and is located on the former site of Tushino Airfield which is a general aviation airport located in the north-west of Moscow. Designed by AECOm and Dexter Moren Associates, the stadium’s inaugural match was held on the 5th September between the home side, Spartak Moscow and Serbian side Red Star Belgrade which resulted in a 1-1 draw.

The new home of Spartak Moscow, the Otkrytie Arena was opened in 2014 and can hold up to 45,360 screaming fans. A monument to the Starostin brothers, the four siblings who founded Spartak, is found inside the stadium, with a huge statue of Spartacus himself waiting outside.
