As this 28-minute trifle opens, she leaves her husband playing baroque music at the piano, telling him she is off to see her sister, Solange.
For an early Jacques Rivette 'Le coup de berger' has an authoritative eye from a then young filmmaker. His execution is masterful, and the camera work is refreshing. This plot is nicely tied up and kept my interest. I have decided to watch quite a few Rivette films over the next few weeks, and from this short, I am intrigued.
