Super 8 features everyday kids growing up in Ohio who by chance film a train passing through town. Something unnaturally powerful threatens to bust out of a train car. “ Super 8 is clearly a nod to those science-fiction films of the 1970s,” says Fong.
With Fong and crew standing by, Snyder directs actress Lena Headey, playing Leonidas’ wife, Queen Gorgo. As for deciding how “virtual” they would go, Fong explains, “Zack’s mantra was, ‘If it’s close enough to touch, it has to be real.’
