Another option is to factory reset the device, which will remove the password. Blackberry smartphones have long been popular business tools.
Fortunately, BlackBerry created a means to reset your password should you lock yourself out of your device. You can also, however, choose the "nuclear" option -- completely resetting your phone to factory defaults.

- Getting Your Unlock Code: Get your BlackBerry’s IMEI number. This unique identifier is required by either your carrier or the third-party unlock provider in order to get your unlock code.
- Unlocking Your BlackBerry: Unlock BlackBerry 10 devices. Go to Settings, select Security and Privacy, and then SIM Card. Scroll down and tap the Unlock Phone button.
- Performing a Hard Reset: Open the battery cover on the back of the BlackBerry. Remove the battery from the phone. You can perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry Z10 by pressing and holding the Power button on the top of the phone for about 10 seconds.
- Performing a Soft Reset: Press and hold the Alt key. This method will reset your BlackBerry without having to remove the battery. You cannot perform this method if your BlackBerry does not have a keyboard.
- Performing a Factory Reset: Open the Options on your home screen. Performing a factory reset, or security wipe, will remove all of your personal information and reset the phone to the state it was in when it came out of the box.

Jan 10, 2010 · I've won a blackberry curve 8250 in a contest, the phone is from rogers, and I am with Bell Canada, I was wondering how to unlock the phone and if I will be able to use it with Bell. Thanks. My suggestion is to unlock it and then sell the phone on kijiji or craigslist or even here in the Market.
